NHS Cervical Screening Digital Results via the NHS App

From September, the NHS Cervical Screening Programme will start sending results digitally via the NHS App. Patients with negative results will receive an app message and notification; if unread within 72 hours, a letter will be sent. Abnormal results will continue to be delivered by post. Please remember to enable your notifications so you do not miss out on these important results.

How to manage your notification preferences

  1. Log in to the NHS App.
  2. Select the Account icon in the top corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Manage notifications.
  5. Follow the link to your device settings.
  6. The toggle is green when notifications are on.

Turning your notifications on or off may take up to 24 hours to take effect.
